Public Option:
A. You pay the government
B. The government pays the Doctor & the hospital.
C. You get the same high quality health care you get now from the same doctors. They get paid very well. No one is taking their profit-making ability from them.
Private Insurance:
A. You pay the insurance executive
B. He pays the lobbyist
C. He pays the lawyers
D. He pays the congressman
E. He pays the advertising agency
F. He pays the for the Jets, the accountants, the business towers, the mistress, the expenses of running a giant corporation
G. You get sick
H. He MAY pay for your Doctor after you pay a huge deductible and your out of pocket expenses.
I. They MAY cancel your coverage after you have paid them well for many years.
J. You are SOL and have no where else to turn.
Health care should be a right, but the system we have now makes it a privilege. And, in the future only the very wealthy will be able to afford it....if reform is not passed this year.
Keep your wonderful private insurance, but I would gladly opt out of my outrageously expensive for-profit insurance that spends 20% of my dollar on marketing— to have 100% of my dollar going towards health benefits for me and my family. Keep paying for the CEO planes and gold plates...I want the public option.
